The next stop on your tour will be at the ‘golden city’ of Jaisalmer, located in the heart of the Thar Desert, it’s the perfect place for a camel ride at sunset. Travelling east, you’ll reach the stunning ‘blue city’ of Jodhpur, where everything really is blue! And no trip to this fascinating city would be complete without a visit to the mighty Mehrangarh Fort – one of the largest in India. From here, we’ll be travelling to one of the most picturesque cities in Rajasthan; Udaipur. With Lake Pichola as a back-drop, the beauty of this city will truly take your breath away. Day 1 – Arrive Jaipur
When you arrive in Jaipur, make your way to the hotel for check-in, which will be from 2pm onwards. Today is an arrival day so there are no planned activities. If you arrive in time, you can join your guide and the rest of the group for dinner to get to know your fellow travellers! Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 2 – Jaipur
After breakfast you will proceed for an excursion at Amber Fort. Inside the fort you will visit the Hall of Victory, or Jag Mandir, a room with all four walls and ceiling completely embedded with glittering mirror pieces, which were specially imported from Belgium. In the afternoon, continue your journey with a city tour of Jaipur. We’ll visit Maharajah’s City Palace, the former Royal residence, part of it converted into a museum. Later we’ll visit the Jantar Mantar, which is the largest stone and marble crafted observatory in the world. During the tour we will also have a brief photography stop at Hawa Mahal – the Palace of Winds. Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 3 – Jaipur & Holi Celebrations
After breakfast we will be taking part in the famous Holi Celebrations! Overnight in Jaipur. (Holy Celebrations only available if travelling in March – for trips not during Holi, a day trip to Pushkar will be included instead).
Day 4 – Jaipur
Today will be spent at your leisure. Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 5 – Jaipur / Bikaner
After breakfast we will be checking out of our hotel in Jaipur and driving to Bikaner. Once we are checked-in to our new hotel, we’ll visit the famous 16th century Junagarh Fort, a huge complex of beautiful buildings. Overnight in Bikaner. (Driving time approx. 5 hours)
Day 6 – Bikaner / Jaisalmer
Today we’ll be leaving Bikaner and continuing our journey to the ‘golden city’ of Jaisalmer, where we will spend the night. Jaisalmer is distinguished by its yellow sandstone buildings and stunning fort, located in the heart of the Thar Desert. (Driving time approx. 5 hours)
Day 7 – Jaisalmer
After breakfast we will take a sightseeing tour of the area which will include the Old Fortress, and in the evening, we’ll head out to Sam Sand Dunes for a camel safari, and watch the sun setting over the desert. Overnight in Jaisalmer.
Day 8 – Jaisalmer / Jodhpur
After breakfast we’ll be travelling to ‘the blue city’ of Jodhpur and taking a sightseeing tour of the local area to visit the main sites, such as Mehrangarh Fort, one of the largest forts in India, and Jaswant Thada, a memorial to Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Overnight in Jodhpur. (Driving time approx. 4 hours)
Day 9 – Jodhpur / Udaipur
Today we’ll be checking out of our hotel in Jodhpur and travelling to Udaipur, stopping on route to visit the stunning Ranakpur Jain Temple, an absolute must-see with impressive architecture and undeniable beauty – a true hidden gem of this area. Overnight in Udaipur.
Day 10 – Udaipur
After breakfast we’ll be taking a sightseeing tour of Udaipur, one of the most picturesque cities in Rajasthan. Set upon the shores of Lake Pichola, the beauty of this city will take your breath away. We will visit the impressive City Palace, the largest palace in Rajasthan, and take a short boat ride on Lake Pichola to take in the amazing views. Overnight in Udaipur.
Day 11 – Udaipur / Mumbai
You will have the morning free to further explore Udaipur. In the afternoon we will transfer to the airport to catch a flight to Mumbai, where we will spend the night.
Day 12 – Mumbai
After breakfast, we will be taking a sightseeing tour of Mumbai. Highlights will include the Gateway of India, Mumbai High Court, and Chor Bazaar. In the evening, we’ll have the option to go to a local cinema and watch a film like the locals – an experience not to be missed whilst in the home of Bollywood! Overnight in Mumbai.
Day 13 – Mumbai
Today will be spent at your leisure in Mumbai for further exploring.
Day 14 – Depart Mumbai
After breakfast, you will have the day at leisure until you need to transfer to the airport for international flights home.

Clothing Travelling in March, the weather will be hot during the day but cooler at night, so pack light, loose-fitting clothing and comfortable shoes, as well as layers for the evenings. You will also need to cover your arms and legs at religious sites, so make sure you have long trousers and tops with long sleeves. If you’re travelling in the cooler month of October, the daytime temperatures are still pretty warm, but it can get cold at night. So if you are travelling in October, it’s recommended to take some warm layers with you.
