Join us for a long weekend in the sunny Spanish cities of Granada, Córdoba and Seville. Sip on sangria as you admire the age-old tradition of flamenco dancing, discover stunning gothic cathedrals before getting lost down medieval alleyways, and explore one of the most visited sites in Europe. This 6-day trip to southern Spain has something for everyone; history, culture, nightlife, sunshine and tapas! We’ll start our tour in the city of Granada, home to the incredible Alahambra Palace, one of the finest examples of Islamic architecture in whole of Europe. After two nights in Granada, we’ll spend the day in Córdoba, the former capital of Islamic Spain. The city is home to the mesmerising Mezquita, a ‘mosque-cathedral’ that is not to be missed when in the region. We’ll then continue our journey to the vibrant city of Seville, known for its incredible historic centre, abundance of tapas bars and of course Flamenco dancing! So, if you’re looking for a taste of Spanish culture with a side of tapas – this one’s for you!

Day 1 – Arrive Granada / Granada Walking Tour
Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for check-in. After lunch we will head out for a short walking tour, starting at approximately 2pm, which will cover the main sites in the pretty city of Granada. You will then have some free time for further exploration – or maybe a glass of Sangria in the sunshine! Dinner will be arranged at a traditional restaurant for the evening. Overnight in Granada.
Day 2 – Granada / Alahambra Palace

After breakfast at the hotel, we will be going for a visit of the stunning Alahambra Palace, where we will discover the finest example of Islamic architecture in the whole of Europe. The palace is one of the most visited attractions in Spain – with its beautiful city walls and the Sierra Nevada mountains as its backdrop, it’s no wonder the place is so popular. You will then have the rest of the day at your leisure to further explore Granada. Dinner will be arranged for the evening.

Day 3 – Granada / Córdoba / Seville

Today we will be leaving Granada early and travelling 200km to Córdoba, the former capital of Islamic Spain, for a city tour which will include one of the greatest Islamic buildings in the world; the Mezquita. You will spend the day in Córdoba and then continue your journey in the late afternoon to Seville, where you will spend the night. (Driving time: approx. 4 hours)

Day 4 – Seville Walking Tour

After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll head out for a walking tour of the beautiful city of Seville! Home to stunning cathedrals, palaces and endless tapas bars – this sunny city has something for everyone. You will have some free time for further exploration in the afternoon and then in the evening we’ll be heading out to watch some Flamenco Dancing! Overnight in Seville.

Day 5 – Seville Free Day

Today will be spent at your leisure in Seville. A dinner will be arranged for your final night!

Day 6 – Depart Seville

After breakfast you will have some free time in the morning before you need to make your way to the airport for international flights home.

Hosts One of our Solo Travellers representatives will meet you at the hotel at the start of the tour and will be your main point of contact throughout the trip. Our hosts will organise dinners and anything else you might need to ensure you have the best holiday. During the city tours and excursions, you will have experienced local guides; please ask them if you have any specific questions about the local area, restaurant recommendations, etc.

Clothing The weather will be pleasantly hot in the day with temperatures of around 20° but it will get chilly in the evenings, so make sure you pack a few layers for when the sun goes down. Please also bring comfortable shoes as there will be a lot of walking during the city tours and excursions.

Health You shouldn’t need any inoculation for travel to Spain, but it is always best to seek medical advice from your doctor or travel nurse before you travel and make sure your vaccinations are up to date. Remember that your travel insurance may not cover you if you do not have up-to-date vaccinations.
